Why It Can't Play Pokémon Go Everyday

1. Highly annoying and very repetitive lyrics. "I play Pokémon Go" is repeated 10 times in this song, and that's despite it being 75 seconds long (technically 65 - see WICPPGE#6).
2. Very annoying and repetitive beat. The instrumental itself is incredibly generic, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the Pokémon franchise whatsoever, as it is just a random piano melody repeating through the whole song.
3. Misha's singing voice is very nasal and horrid to listen to.
4. We get awful close-ups of Misha in the music video.
   • Speaking of which, there is a scene where he sticks out his tongue at a poorly done vibrating Lickitung picture and it was completely unnecessary.
5. The cover art is hilariously bad and just is a close-up of Misha with his eyes closed.
6. For some reason, there are ten seconds of silence at the end.
7. In the music video, Misha is seen in the driver's seat of a car, even though he was nine years old at the time.

Redeeming Qualities

1. Despite being generic, the guitar solo is decent, even if it only lasts for about five seconds.
2. The song can be pretty funny to some people due to how bad it is.

Initial reception

"PG Song for Kids (I Play PG Everyday)" was widely panned by listeners at the time of its release. As of November 2022, according to the YouTube dislike extension, its music video has 2.31 million dislikes compared to 1.39 million likes. YouTubers such as RiceGum, Pyrocynical, and Memeulous criticized the song.

Response to criticism

In response to the criticism, Misha released "Cyberbully Channels Are Cancer!" as a diss track towards RiceGum, Keemstar, LeafyIsHere, and Pyrocynical on August 20, 2016. RiceGum, Pyrocynical, and Memeulous again criticized the song. Misha also released "Song for All Haters" as a result from that on August 31, 2016, which Memeulous again criticized.

Eventually, in early 2020, he released a re-recording of the song when he was 13 and his voice dropped. Despite it not having nearly as much attention as the original, it also got negative reception, based on the fact that the music video has received 89,000 likes and 46,000 dislikes as of November 2022.

Reception nowadays

Even though the song still receives more dislikes than likes today, Misha eventually re-enabled comments on the song's music video, likely in 2021. The comments nowadays have been actually praising the song, but they are most likely joking.
